The Tennessee Department of Education announced today, November 22, 2024, Lebanon Special School District has been designated as an Exemplary District for the 2023-24 school year. This is the highest designation for a school district based on the state accountability determinations. To be designated Exemplary by the Tennessee Department of Education, a school district must demonstrate through accountability measures that it is: raising student proficiency levels, narrowing achievement gaps, and guaranteeing growth for all students.
